Rapid Urban Revitalisation — Livening up the Laneways

This will be a jam-packed and exciting afternoon combining a:

  • Tour of already-completed Laneways projects,
  • Training in CoDesign methods for undertaking additional projects,
  • Action to revitalise several spaces.

CoDesign will introduce practical ways to design, prototype, and implement rapid urban revitalisation projects that can transform your neighbourhood in a weekend.

We all care about the places where we live, learn and work. But when it comes to making physical changes that improve the sustainability and livability of our neighbourhoods, we often don?t know where to start. In this workshop CoDesign Studio, unpacks some easy and fun ways to rapidly transform your neighbourhood.

The workshop will focus on:

  • How to identify problems and opportunities with a public space,
  • How to identify and engage stakeholders,
  • How to co-create and prototype solutions, and ...
  • Practical action!

As a group participants will use case study spaces in the Geraldton CBD and come up with a design intervention.

Expect a fun and fast paced session, and be prepared to get a bit grubby as we collaborate on a creative urban intervention for Geraldton.
